Having Afro hair in the Middle East is not easy. The harsh climate and salty water make it difficult to keep our hair healthy, styled, and manageable. Wearing it out—combed, straight, or natural—often feels like a daily struggle.

Braiding options were limited and overpriced, often handled by unprofessional part-time stylists. Many times, services were offered in uncomfortable settings—either at their accommodation or inside my personal space—leaving no sense of privacy, safety, or professionalism.
